Corrections and Retractions Policy

The Journal of Integrated Scientific Research (JISR) is committed to maintaining the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of the scholarly record. When errors or significant concerns are identified in published material, the journal will consider appropriate post-publication action.

Corrections

A correction may be issued when an error is identified in a published article that affects its accuracy or interpretation but does not invalidate the main findings or conclusions. Corrections will be clearly identified and linked to the original article wherever practicable.

Author Corrections

Authors who identify an important error in their published work should promptly inform the editorial office and provide sufficient information to allow the matter to be evaluated.

Retractions

An article may be considered for retraction when there is reliable evidence of serious problems affecting the validity, reliability, or ethical integrity of the work. Reasons may include fabrication or falsification of data, plagiarism, duplicate publication, serious ethical violations, unauthorized use of material, or other significant research or publication misconduct.

Retraction Notices

When an article is retracted, a clearly identifiable retraction notice will be published. The notice should state the reason for the retraction and identify the article concerned. The scholarly record will be maintained transparently rather than silently removing the publication, except where removal is necessary for compelling legal, privacy, or safety reasons.

Expressions of Concern

The journal may publish an expression of concern when substantial questions have been raised regarding a published article but available evidence is insufficient to reach a final conclusion or an investigation remains ongoing.

Editorial Amendments

Minor errors that do not materially affect the scholarly content may be corrected through an appropriate editorial update when necessary. Significant changes to published content should be documented transparently.

Investigation of Concerns

Concerns regarding published articles will be evaluated objectively. The journal may request explanations, original data, ethics approvals, supporting documentation, or other relevant information from authors or other parties when necessary.

Author and Institutional Cooperation

Authors are expected to cooperate with legitimate investigations concerning their published work. Where appropriate, the journal may communicate with relevant institutions or other responsible bodies regarding serious research-integrity concerns.

Transparency and Permanent Record

JISR aims to ensure that corrections, retractions, and other post-publication notices are clearly associated with the relevant article and form part of the permanent scholarly record.

The journal will take post-publication action according to the nature and seriousness of each case, with the objective of protecting readers and preserving the integrity of scholarly communication.
