Conflict of Interest Policy

The Journal of Integrated Scientific Research (JISR) is committed to maintaining transparency, objectivity, and integrity throughout the editorial and publication process. Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to disclose any interests that could influence, or reasonably be perceived to influence, their scholarly work or editorial decisions.

Author Responsibilities

Authors must disclose any financial, professional, institutional, personal, or other relationships that may constitute a potential conflict of interest in relation to the submitted manuscript.

Potential conflicts may include, but are not limited to:

• Employment or institutional relationships
• Research funding or sponsorship
• Consultancy arrangements
• Financial interests
• Patents or intellectual property interests
• Personal or professional relationships
• Academic collaborations that could affect impartiality

Funding Disclosure

Authors should disclose relevant sources of financial support or research funding. Where applicable, the role of the funding organization in study design, data collection, analysis, manuscript preparation, or the decision to publish should be stated.

Reviewer Responsibilities

Reviewers must disclose any potential conflict of interest that could affect their ability to provide an independent and objective assessment.

A reviewer should decline an assignment when a financial, professional, institutional, collaborative, or personal relationship could reasonably compromise impartiality.

Editor Responsibilities

Editors must avoid handling manuscripts where they have a conflict of interest with the authors, institutions, research, or subject matter that could compromise editorial independence.

Where an editor has a relevant conflict, responsibility for the manuscript should be transferred to another appropriate editor.

Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are based on scholarly merit, originality, methodological quality, relevance, ethical compliance, and suitability for the journal. Financial considerations or publication charges must not determine whether a manuscript is accepted or rejected.

Disclosure in Published Articles

Where relevant, conflict-of-interest declarations may be included in the published article to promote transparency for readers.

No Conflict to Declare

Where no relevant competing interests exist, authors may state:

“The authors declare that they have no competing interests.”

Failure to Disclose

If an undisclosed conflict of interest is identified before or after publication, the journal may investigate the matter and take appropriate editorial action depending on its nature and significance.
