Authorship and Contribution Policy

The Journal of Integrated Scientific Research (JISR) is committed to transparent and responsible authorship practices. Authorship should accurately reflect the individuals who have made meaningful scholarly contributions to the research and manuscript.

Authorship Criteria

Individuals listed as authors should have made substantial contributions to the work, such as the conception or design of the study, acquisition or analysis of data, interpretation of findings, development of methodology, or preparation and critical revision of the manuscript.

All authors should:

• Make a meaningful contribution to the scholarly work.
• Review and approve the final version of the manuscript.
• Agree to the submission and publication of the work.
• Accept appropriate responsibility and accountability for their contributions.

Corresponding Author

The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the journal during submission, peer review, revision, and publication. The corresponding author should ensure that all listed authors have approved the manuscript and that relevant authorship information is accurate.

Author Order

The order of authors should be agreed upon by all authors before submission. JISR does not determine authorship order on behalf of research teams.

Changes in Authorship

Requests to add, remove, or rearrange authors after submission must be appropriately justified. The journal may require written agreement from all affected authors before approving an authorship change.

Requests for authorship changes after publication will be considered carefully and may require an appropriate correction notice.

Guest and Honorary Authorship

Individuals who have not made a meaningful scholarly contribution should not be listed as authors solely because of their position, seniority, reputation, supervision, funding role, or institutional relationship.

Ghost Authorship

Individuals who have made substantial contributions to the work should not be intentionally omitted from appropriate authorship or acknowledgement.

Contributors and Acknowledgements

Individuals who contributed to the work but do not meet the criteria for authorship may be acknowledged with their permission. Such contributions may include technical assistance, administrative support, language assistance, or other relevant support.

Artificial Intelligence and Authorship

Artificial intelligence tools and AI-assisted technologies cannot be listed as authors because they cannot take responsibility for the integrity, accuracy, or accountability of scholarly work.

Authors remain responsible for all content produced or modified with the assistance of AI tools and should disclose material use of such technologies where appropriate.

Authorship Disputes

JISR will not normally adjudicate disputes concerning who should or should not qualify as an author. Where a significant authorship dispute arises, the journal may request clarification or supporting documentation and, where appropriate, refer the matter to the relevant institution.

Responsibility for Published Work

All authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy, originality, ethical compliance, and integrity of their contributions. Authors should cooperate with legitimate editorial inquiries concerning their published or submitted work.

JISR promotes accurate attribution of scholarly contributions and does not support guest, honorary, ghost, or otherwise misleading authorship practices.
